Frequently Asked Questions
-
A neurodiversity-affirming dietitian supports eating in ways that work with a person’s brain and body rather than against them. Jack respects sensory needs, energy and capacity, and safe foods, and avoids pressure, rigid rules or “just try it” tactics. Care is strengths-based and goes at the client’s pace.
-
Weight-inclusive care focuses on health-supporting habits, wellbeing and your relationship with food, rather than weight loss as the goal. It draws on research into the non-diet approach and the harms of weight stigma.
You won’t be put on a diet or weighed unless medically indicated.
-

Jack and the client agree on a plan together, with no pressure to commit to anything on the day.

A referral is not a requirement, however Medicare rebates do require a GP referral to be approved.
