Telehealth
Telehealth appointments, anywhere in Australia
You can see me by video or phone from home, work or anywhere private. Telehealth works well if travel is tiring, clinics feel overwhelming, or you live outside Melbourne.
When
Wednesday to Sunday, 8am to 5pm.
Fees
Initial appointment (60 minutes): $180
Follow-up appointment (30 minutes): $110
If you have a chronic condition and your GP gives you a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP), you can claim a Medicare rebate for video and phone appointments.
How it works
Book online and fill in the intake form.
Before your appointment, you'll get an email with a link to join. [Check: Halaxy video runs in a web browser with no app to download.]
Join from a phone, tablet or computer at your booked time. For a phone appointment, I'll call you.
Within 3 business days, you'll get a written summary in the format you choose: dot points, a short paragraph, or a visual one-page summary.
What you'll need
A phone, or a device with internet and a microphone. A camera is optional.
Somewhere you feel comfortable talking. This can be your bedroom, your car or a park bench.
Headphones, if other people are nearby.
You can choose
Video or phone.
Camera on or off.
Who joins: you, your child, a parent, carer, and/or support person.
Topics or words you'd like me to avoid.
Who I see by telehealth
I see adults anywhere in Australia, and children and teens aged 4 to 18 with a parent or carer. I work with autistic and ADHD adults and queer people, and I welcome anyone.
Booking and questions
Not sure if I'm the right fit? Email jack@barkdietetics.com.au or use the message box at the bottom of this page, and we can talk before you book.
Telehealth questions
What if my internet drops out? I'll try to reconnect first. If video still isn't working, I'll phone you on the number you gave when booking, and we'll finish the appointment by phone.
Can I do my appointment by phone instead of video? Yes. Choose a phone appointment when you book, or let me know beforehand. The fee is the same.
Can you look at my food or kitchen over video? Yes, if you'd like to. Some people like to show me their fridge, pantry or lunchbox. It's always your choice.
Do I have to live in Victoria? No. I see clients by telehealth across Australia.
