Home Visits
Home visits
If coming to a clinic is hard for you, I can come to you. Seeing you at home can make it easier to talk about the food, kitchen and mealtimes that are part of your everyday life.
Where I visit
I visit homes within 20 km of Kilsyth. If you live further away, I can see you by telehealth or at Inner Light Allied Health in Kilsyth.
If home doesn't feel private, we can meet somewhere else that suits you. Tell me when you book and we'll work it out.
When
Wednesday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm.
Fees
Initial appointment (60 minutes): $180
Follow-up appointment (30 minutes): $110
Travel fee: $30 within 10 km of Kilsyth, or $50 for 10 to 20 km.
If you have a chronic condition and your GP gives you a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP), you can claim a Medicare rebate for the appointment. The travel fee is not covered by Medicare.
What to expect
I'll confirm the address and time with you before the visit.
For clients under 18, a parent or carer needs to be home for the whole visit.
You don't need to tidy up or prepare anything.
Please warn me about any pets, I have a cat allergy and will need an antihistamine beforehand.
Booking and questions
Not sure if I'm the right fit? Email jack@barkdietetics.com.au or use the message box at the bottom of this page, and we can talk before you book.
Home visit questions
How do I know which travel fee applies? Tell me your suburb when you book, and I'll confirm the travel fee before your appointment.
Do I need to clean up before you come? No. I'm there to talk about food and mealtimes, not to judge your home.
Can we meet somewhere other than my home? Yes. If home doesn't feel private or safe, we can meet in another private place that suits you, such as [examples, e.g. a family member's home or a booked room at a library].
Who needs to be there? For clients under 18, a parent or carer needs to be home for the whole visit. Adults can choose whether anyone else joins.
What if I live outside your area? Telehealth is available anywhere in Australia, or you can see me in person at Inner Light Allied Health in Kilsyth.
